GVA Member Duane K. with his Mt. Emily Bull. Took 12 years to draw this tag. Just after daylight, Sept 10 Duane got this 6x6 with an 80 yrd shot, one year ago to the day, Duane was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis (MS). This hunt really ment alot to him & his family. Each chance to hunt is worth the blood, sweat & tears, cause each Day is truly a Blessing.
This canyon had several bulls with cows, bear, several mule deer & three wolves! The wolves were seen @ 4pm running across a road Labor day weekend. Busy little canyon.
Duane's hunting partner Chuck, his father Everett, and Mother Linda were also successful... they all harvested an animal with their bow's. Everett's was his first ever with a bow! Never to late to start! :)

GVA Club President Jon was successful in Early Archery Season..
Jon took this Bull with his Bezeleel Longbow @ 18 yards, he and his brother nicknamed him CRASH...as he tumbled over a 100 feet down into this creek/canyon after his final 100 yard dash. Thanks for sharing Jon!
Congratulations!!
Congratulations!!
GVA member Doug K. once again was very successful for his 2010 early archery Elk hunt . Wow!
Doug was by himself when he harvested this magnificent Bull...It was not accessible from a road or trail.. So when he got back to his hunting camp.. He had to inform everyone in camp he needed some help. Luckily there were 3 other folks to help him.. It took 6 trips with 4 people to get this big guy out on pack frames You truly have to love the hunt! This was definitely a labor of Love...
Congratulations Doug!
